About the role:


NSC Relase Manager is one of the most promising postion, responsible to manage the Netowrk Security of more than 490 IBO customers.


NSC Relase Manager used to be the part of OBS Security Release Management Committe and closely work with OBS Engineering team to roll-out Secuirty plan for IBO customers.


  • Release Manager is a highly technical profile aim to work with engineering team to assess the impact and criticality of vulnerabilities as defined by product vendors (e.g. CISCO).
  • Set up mechanism to detect and flag vulnerable devices in the orange BVPN Network.
  • Have direct link with engineering/security teams to set the implementation rules, to assess perimeter impact (new vulnerability), to set guidelines for implementation teams, success/failure analysis, tool's support.
  • Work with Implementation coordinators and Project Manager to define process of vulnerability remediation plan.
  • Study impact of Vulnerability on customer network by doing feasibility analysis. Pilot remediation plan. Validate solution and assess the impacts.
  • Implement efficient solution to allow implementers to fix bugs. Define implementation plan and tests.
  • Work with vendor and engineering to solve complex bugs on customer network.
  • Optimize cost-effectiveness of service provisioning by efficient involvement of most optimum support models (CPT-S, RME), tools and processes.
  • Work on exception and complex network issues arising from bug fixing.
  • Overall accountability of the performance of Release Management process for the assigned Customer.
  • Manage the overall workload amongst the Implementation team by distributing specific requests amongst the VPO team.
  • Ensure that skills sets amongst the Implementation team are appropriate (should trigger appropriate training).
  • Define configuration templates specific to Customer VPN, so that rest of the team follows same.
  • Manage Release Management policy specific to the assigned Customer.
  • Plan and schedule the Release Management activity within VPO team, ensuring the right resource assignment to complete the customer projects establishing first line communication with Project team.
  • Manage and optimize the resources within team as per work/project scenario.
  • Develop new configuration releases and templates to implement the Customer solution (MACD).
  • Specify with the Customer the acceptance testing procedures for complex MACDs in relation to the IPVPN infrastructure.
  • Ensure that all configurations/changes being rolled out are secure and traceable via CMDB (MACHX).
  • Make sure that customized Release Management and policies are defined and implemented through appropriate tools and processes. Ensure documentation and training amongst Customer VPO team members.
  • Ensure that definitive authorized versions of all software CIs are stored i.e. IP Toolbox (Definite Software Library).
  • Define training plan for site implementers and optimize their activities.
  • Ensure continuous operation and minimize the effect of planned downtime through the knowledge of network by implementing the changes effectively with the capability for swift workarounds.
  • Ensure the maintenance of Security standards by auditing regularly the network and devices to ensure and revise company and security standards (IOS review, new security templates, etc.).
  • Increase Reliability reviewing the proposed.

  • Core experience implementing network (MLAN, WLAN, Riverbed or WAAS, MPLS, QOS,
  • Routing Protocols, SDWAN).
  • Switching : Cisco Switches, Nexus
  • Routing : OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, ISIS, QOS, VOIP, Multicasting
  • SDWAN :Fortinet,Viptela
  • Experience on Cisco Switches family knowledge: Cat2900 series, Cat3550/3650 series, Cat3750,
Cat4500, Cat6500 series, ASR, ESR, 7600, MRV, 800 Series.

  • Experience on Cisco Platforms like 36xx 72xx, 75xx, GSR, ESR, ASR.
  • Basic knowledge Perl or Python Scripting, Linux will be preferred.
  • Good knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements
