Copywriter for Instagram Reels

We're looking for a strategic Copywriter to join our Content team, and help us leverage the power of Instagram Reels. Applications will be accepted for the next two weeks, with a target start date in July.

About the job

You'll be responsible for crafting compelling scripts for Instagram Reels, contributing to SEO articles, and writing daily newsletters.

This role is crucial for our content strategy, aiming to leverage the vitality of Instagram Reels and enhance our overall content approach.

You'll work closely with the co-founder and lead a team of interns to ensure our content is engaging, relatable, and converting.

To give you a clear idea of what the job could entail, here are some real examples of the work you'll be doing:

• Writing captivating scripts for Instagram Reels that resonate with our target audience.
• We follow the 'throw a bunch of darts' approach hoping one will hit the target. This will mean you will be part of a bunch of experiments.
• Collaborating with the intern to develop SEO articles, ensuring they align with our content strategy.
• Drafting daily newsletters that contribute to new-age Indian thinking and are relatable to our audience.
• Leading content projects and guiding in the absence of the team leader.

About You

We're looking for candidates with a strong track record of creating engaging content for social media platforms, particularly Instagram. You should have excellent writing skills and a good understanding of content strategy. Experience with SEO and email marketing is a plus.

Just because you're experienced, it doesn't mean we expect you to hit the ground running. You'll have a gentle, intentional onboarding experience, and time to learn and grow comfortable with our systems, processes, and people.

We're not big on credentials, so a degree or graduating from a prestigious university is not something we spend much time looking at. We are okay with your varied experience level too. We care about what you can do and how you do it, not about how you got here.

This is an in-office job-based in Secunderabad, India. To take the strategy from 0 → 1 for our startup, we require candidates to work on-site five days a week.

After the exercise, the top candidates will proceed to interviews with the team. Expect a couple of one-hour interviews with your future colleagues. We'll discuss your background, and approach to work, and dive into your content creation skills.

We aim to make an offer in July with a flexible start date later that month.
