  • Discussed planned activity and its execution during the day with contractor supervisor/workmen.
  • Prioritise activates and sequence within different contractor as per master plan/OBP schedule
  • Ensure receipt of PO and its correctness to contractors.
  • Issuance of Drg/Procedures/weld plans according to PO
  • Ensure right pool of manpower available to contractor according to assigned job
  • Ensure and approve daily work permit system of contractors as per nature of activity
  • Provide inputs to PMG team for balanced loading of contractors.
  • Approve monthly billing of contractors according to PLM progress
  • Receipt and record of incoming material/assembly/Machined parts
  • Proper preservation of received/installed Equipment's as per OEM guidelines
  • Ensure material full kit before starting of activity.
  • Prepare plan along with contractor to meet target dates.
  • Daily monitoring of work progress
  • Weekly meeting to discuss status and concerns to achieve weekly targeted dates in contractor review meeting (Every Friday)
  • Ensure daily WMS round and get it reviewed by Shop in charge
  • Discussed TBT with contractor workmen and Supervisor on every Wednesday

  • Refer welder master list for Welder Qualification
  • Refer SAS (Store Automation System) for consumption of weld consumables
  • Introduce new contractors into system for consumable issuance, Inspection calls
  • Raise daily inspection load to QC to ensure proper coverage.
  • Expedite design, procedure and sequence related query from concern dept
  • Study drawings / procedures / reference line sketches / weld plan / test plan / weekly shift plan / planning documents
  • Manage special tools and equipment incase of L&T scope.
  • Ensure all the measuring parameter using calibrated equipment/tools only
  • Raise calibration call of contractors welding machines by 5th of every month
  • Ensure usage of PPE for self and workmen in shop
  • Review RT / UT results and coordinate with NDT / WE for tracings in case of repairs. Ensure all NDT are cleared at relevant stages
  • Frequently visit work stations/job and monitor quality and progress. Discuss / provide feedback to contact workmen for quality and progress.
  • Coordinate with other shops for material movement
  • Expediting clearance of inspection entries in system.
