Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled management S enior IT Analyst Applications to join our Caterpillar IT team .
This incumbent would act as a functional subject matter expert and trusted advisor for customers going through business transformation utilizing SAP as the ERP system.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Whitefield Office, Bangalore, India

Job Roles and Responsibilities

This position's primary customers will be Order Management resources at transformation sites and process partners throughout the organization. The incumbent will partner with these resources to identify true business needs and implement solutions that meet those needs within the boundaries of our template solutions. Understanding, evaluating, and reacting to potential issues interfering with the success criteria established with the business is part of this assignment. The incumbent may assist in the development of solutions. This interaction will be within the framework of existing business policies and practices and/or established business relationships. This role acts as a functional subject matter expert and trusted advisor for customers going through business transformation utilizing SAP as the ERP system. Trusted liaison between business partner and IT throughout the life of the ERP transformation. Provide sales distribution (SD)/order to cash (OTC) subject matter expertise for system and process transformation with minimal impact to the business and users. Work closely with OTC Solution Lead to ensure effective translation of business requirements and into functional specifications for software development team. Coordinate with business and IT teams to gather, define, and clarify requirements. Validate solution design with customers using prescribed process documentation, testing, and prototyping strategies. Develop process documentation to support OTC solution(s) for transformation customers. Establish and execute OTC test plans as required supporting solution releases and deployment initiatives. Establish plans for and deliver OTC power user training. Provide OTC stabilization go-live support and ensure smooth transition to support teams. Beyond these responsibilities, the incumbent will also understand our ERP template and apply our deployment strategies for ERP transformations, enhancements, and configuration. This will also include providing input into the continuous improvement plans of our deployment efficiency projects. In doing so, the incumbent will seek to identify lessons learned from current and previous deployments and apply them to our tools and methodology. Potential frequent international travel is required.

What you will have

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information technology fields. Experience: 10+ years of relevant IT experience Knowledge: Prior knowledge of SAP required, experience with configurations, pricing, invoicing, interfaces, programming logic, logical diagrams, basic systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards. Designs and implements processes, or process improvements, to aid development and support. Language: Pre-Advanced English Behavioural skills: Analytical skills and communication skills are required.
