Title: Senior Software Engineer

The Oracle Cerner Database Infrastructure team within OHAI is currently seeking skilled Software Engineers to join the team. The role primarily involves database automation, designing reports and dashboards to meet business requirements, and enhancing data visualization capabilities. As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in database automation, you will be responsible for crafting, developing, and maintaining automation processes to streamline and enhance database operations, addressing complex problems in DB Modernization efforts using technologies such as Ruby, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields
  • Experienced Full Stack developer proficient in C++ or Java
  • Proficient in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience in SQL/PLSQL, SQL Tuning, and automation using Shell or Python
  • Experience in performance debugging and optimization
  • Deep understanding of Software architecture, Design Patterns, Data Structures, Distributed Systems, and Cloud Native development
  • Strong understanding of Database Architecture and Unix/Linux systems
  • Understanding of Cloud offerings and concepts as well as experience with Oracle OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with technologies like Puppet, Chef, Helm, Terraform, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Kafka, Flink
  • Experience in designing and implementing reports and dashboards
  • Great teammate with excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Experience with ticket tracking systems like JIRA and working in geographically distributed teams
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices
