JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in a team responsible for creating and implementing property-level communications for our customers. Under the guidance of the Manager of Marketing and Communication, this position focuses on delivering consistent brand messages to customers across traditional, digital, and social media platforms all aimed at enhancing the hotel's image. The role involves developing direct marketing strategies, targeted campaigns, and active channels to boost consumer awareness, increase market share, and enhance overall portfolio and brand visibility. Collaborating closely with regional eCommerce and Marketing teams, the role ensures seamless integration of local, social, and digital marketing initiatives with the organization's sales efforts.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required:

  • 2-year degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, digital, or a related area; previous experience in hospitality marketing or digital advertising is preferred.
  • OR
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related field; no prior work experience necessary.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Hotel Marketing and Advertising

  • Assisting in implementing the annual marketing plan within budget.
  • Providing support to Operations, Food & Beverage, and Sales teams to execute targeted promotions and campaigns aimed at in-house guests to drive additional revenue for the hotel.
  • Collaborating with advertising agencies on the creative and media aspects of tactical advertising campaigns, especially for food and beverage promotions.
  • Managing F&B media schedules, email marketing, and display advertising.
  • Ensuring all digital advertising for the hotel aligns with the brand's voice.

Social Media Content Management

  • Supporting social media engagement efforts and updating content across local digital channels such as the hotel website and travel sites.
  • Participating in promotional campaigns for F&B, weddings, spa, rooms, and conferences through relevant digital and social media channels.
  • Engaging in proactive online reputation management by addressing guest comments on social media platforms.

Public Relations and Visual Asset Management

  • Contributing to the development of a comprehensive PR plan each quarter in collaboration with agencies.
  • Maintaining a list of local media contacts, with a focus on food critics and bloggers.
  • Managing assigned media accounts.
  • Assisting with writing and distributing press releases for property events and promotions.
  • Supporting hotel-sponsored events and promotional activities.
  • Coordinating photography for F&B advertising, collateral, and public relations purposes.
  • Assisting with photo shoots for seasonal promotions.

Direct Marketing and Collateral Development

  • Coordinating and executing Hotel and F&B printed materials.
  • Managing inventory of marketing collateral and ensuring compliance with brand standards.
  • Producing property, F&B display, and temporary signage.
  • Executing F&B direct marketing activities.

General

  • Contributing to communications activities.
  • Participating in the publication of hotel newsletters.
  • Supporting various communication duties as needed.
  • Assisting with joint F&B promotions.
  • Ensuring regular updates of the Hotel's website.
  • Providing marketing support and expertise to GMs, Sales Leaders, and Revenue leaders.
  • Monitoring competitor marketing efforts and digital trends.
  • Performing other assigned job duties.
