The Position:

As an Associate Manager for Patient Education & Advocacy in the healthcare field, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing patient education and engagement strategies aligned with the overall patient and market education plan.
  • Supporting key projects like Center of Excellence, initiatives for diabetes in children (Type 1), Changing Diabetes Barometer (Type 2), and affordability plans for vulnerable populations.
  • Utilizing data analysis and dashboards to identify trends and enhance patient education efforts.
  • Tracking campaign metrics for increased effectiveness.
  • Engaging in stakeholder mapping and advocating for policy changes with professional associations, patient advocacy groups, NGOs, and international organizations.
  • Establishing partnerships with patient advocacy groups to amplify the patient's voice.
  • Managing projects related to patient education, access, and advocacy throughout all stages.
  • Collaborating with diverse teams to develop and execute strategies that promote patient education and advocacy for policy development.
Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or equivalent (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare, patient education, patient support, patient access, or related field.
  • Demonstrated track record in project management.
  • Strong analytical skills to drive data-driven insights and improvements.
  • In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical value chain, healthcare services, and communications landscape.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other data management software.
  • Passion and dedication to promoting patient education and advocacy for policy development.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Providing training and education to internal teams on best practices in patient education, advocacy, and healthcare policies.
About the Department:

The Associate Manager for Patient Education & Advocacy is part of our Market Access team under the Market Access & Public Affairs Business Unit. The team, located at our Bangalore headquarters, is responsible for developing strategies to raise disease awareness and implement patient education programs. We operate in a dynamic environment, collaborating internally and externally to make a positive impact on patient lives.
