Last Mile Operations - General Manager Bangalore

Reports to:
Operations Head

Workdays: 6 days workweek.

Job Summary:


The Last Mile Operations General Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire last-mile delivery process of fuel to customers' doorsteps.

This role requires strategic planning, operational efficiency, and a deep understanding of logistics to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of fuel.

The incumbent will lead a team, manage logistics partners, and work closely with other departments to optimize the delivery process and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement lastmile delivery strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Identify and deploy advanced technologies and systems for route optimization, delivery tracking, and fuel management.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor performance against targets.
Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the lastmile operations team, including drivers and logistics coordinators.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to ensure the team is uptodate with safety protocols, customer service standards, and operational procedures.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Logistics and Fleet Management:

  • Oversee the management of the delivery fleet, ensuring vehicles are wellmaintained and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Optimize delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure a seamless supply chain process.
Customer Service and Satisfaction:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by monitoring delivery timelines, resolving delivery issues, and improving the overall delivery experience.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms to gather customer insights and use them to refine delivery processes.
Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols for handling and delivering fuel.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Budgeting and Cost Management:

  • Prepare and manage the budget for lastmile operations, focusing on cost control and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement initiatives to reduce operational Minimum of 810 years of experience in logistics or lastmile delivery operations, preferably in the fuel delivery or related industry.
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and complex logistics Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Proficient in logistics software and technologies for route optimization and delivery tracking.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.

Working Conditions:
