What you will be doing:

  • Installation, maintenance, and problem resolution for z/OS operating system software using SMP/e
  • Installation, maintenance, and problem resolution for OEM or operating system support products using SMP/e. Vendor list includes products from Broadcom, BMC, ASG, McKinney, and several others
  • Coding and problem resolution for installation exits
  • Should be able to explain technical information to nontechnical personnel
  • Provide 24x7x365 oncall support on a rotating basis and perform other oncall duties as required.

What you bring:

  • 7 to 10 Yrs in Zos System Programmer in the z/OS Operating Systems
  • Strong experience in SMPe,RExx,HCD,ISV install and Zos install
  • Willing to work on 24x7x365 oncall support on a rotating basis.
  • Willing to work system maintenance/implementation windows which are generally 1 AM to 5 AM Central Time on Sunday mornings, but can be anytime during the weekend
  • Should be willing to work in US and UK Day shifts

Added bonus if you have:

  • Knowledge of endtoend systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development
  • Knowledge of FIS' products and services
  • Knowledge of the business goals, objectives and business operations for the appropriate FIS organization
