Responsibilities:

  • Partner with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to define and implement effective testing strategies.
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases for all levels of testing (unit, integration, system, regression).
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve them efficiently.
  • Automate repetitive test tasks using scripting languages and testing frameworks.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest testing methodologies and tools (e.g., exploratory testing, API testing, performance testing).
  • Lead and mentor junior Test Engineers within the team.
  • Advocate for high-quality standards and best practices in software testing.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on test coverage and quality.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and tools to enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
  • Proven experience in designing and executing test plans and strategies.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies (e.g., black-box testing, white-box testing).
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript preferred).
  • Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium a plus).
  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI a plus).
  • Experience with performance testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter a plus).
  • In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
