Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Playwright to join our QA team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, experience in test automation, and a deep understanding of web technologies.

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications.

Additionally, you will play a key role in scalability, performance testing, and API testing using relevant tools.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of web applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define test scenarios, and prioritize testing efforts.
  • Execute automated tests across different browsers and browser versions to ensure compatibility and consistency.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing process and facilitate continuous delivery.
  • Debug and troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability of automated tests.
  • Maintain and optimize the test suite to keep up with changes in the application under test and improvements in Playwright.
  • Conduct scalability and performance testing to assess the application's ability to handle increased workload and stress conditions.
  • Develop and execute API tests using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SOAPUI to validate backend functionality and integration points.
  • Generate test reports and provide feedback to stakeholders on the quality of the software being developed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Min 1+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation using PlayWright.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, with experience in Playwright or similar automation tools (e.g., Puppeteer, Selenium).
  • Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for web applications.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI.
  • Experience with scalability and performance testing methodologies and tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner).
  • Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SOAPUI.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with other test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Cypress, WebDriverIO).
  • Knowledge of agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
