Philips Ultrasound Research is part of the Philips Ultrasound business and provides the front-end innovations in ultrasound area focusing on market needs.

The innovations include value propositions, integrated solutions and products that have impact on the targeted end users including healthcare workers (specialists, doctors, clinicians, nurses, midwives, sonographers) hospital administrators and patients.

To foster speeding up end-to-end innovation from idea to market, it is essential to manage the entire chain - including the "front end" which includes Exploration and Proof of Concept phases, as well as formal Product Realization within the Ultrasound Business.


Responsibilities and Key Result Areas

  • Develop and evaluate firstofkind AI based ultrasound solutions to provide clinical decision support, user guidance, improve clinical workflow and optimize patient outcomes
  • Develop solutions as per the project plan and guide junior team members on their tasks
  • Interact with clinical customers to understand their problems, share insights and best practices, and validate prototypes of solutions to assess their value in patient care
  • Write clinical protocols with the help of clinicians to conduct clinical studies
  • Act as an objective source of information within one's area of technology

Experience- Experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI

  • Experience in computer vision/image/ video analytics
  • Experience in healthcare domain is good to have
  • Experience in ultrasound is good to have

Qualification

  • M Tech/ MS (by Research) in CS/ Electronics with 810 years of relevant experience
  • PhD in CS/ Electronics with 5 years of experience

Skill Set

  • Knowledge of analyzing images, videos, time series data
  • Machine Learning/ Statistics concepts: Eg. Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic, MLP, SVM, Decision trees, Random forests
  • Deep learning
  • Programming/ Scripting languages:
  • Python, R, C++ (ITK, VTK), DL (Tensorflow, Pytorch, etc)
