Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Network Engineer, You are expected to work on Networking products or solutions based on any vendor hardware /vendor operating system software ( ie Vendor agnostic) with little or minimum support from superiors

Eg include:
Skills on Routers/Switches/ Load balancer.

Typical examples of the other deliverables would be of deploying, managing and implementing networking solutions to address client business requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
  • Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
  • Testing and configuring software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices
  • Monitor network performance and integrity
  • Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting MPLS and local infrastructure
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
  • Mentor team members on technical issues
  • Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
  • Communicate with users when needed
  • Maintain complete technical documentation
  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
  • Performing troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network
  • Responsible for Network Documentation using Visio Tools, MS-Power Point
  • Configuration and Troubleshooting of routes, VLAN, QoS
  • Cisco IOS security features and knowledge of security vulnerabilities, threats and attacks

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure Domain
  • Experience in Cisco+Radware
  • Solid background in network administration, monitoring and architecture
  • Indepth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. MPLS,BGP, OSPF)
  • Demonstrable experience in Routing and Switching concept ( Cisco)
  • Ability to produce RCA of Severity incidents impacting network with minimum support from Superiors/Seniors within team


 Hands on experience
  • Hardware Module, Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting for the following listed Routers and Switches
  • Routers: Cisco ASR 9010, ASR 9006, ISR 4331, ISR 435
  • Switches: Nexus NK-C9516, N9K-C93180YCFX, Nexus 1000v
  • Familiarity with access control models and network security
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
  • Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS,IOS-XR,NX-OS)
  • Sharp troubleshooting skills
