ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job description

· We are seeking a skilled and experienced Java Backend Developer to join our team

· As a Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side components and logic of our web applications

· You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and reliable backend functionality

Responsibilities

· Designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based backend systems for web applications

· Collaborating with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions

· Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards

· Implementing and integrating APIs, web services, and third-party libraries

· Performing unit testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of the backend systems

· Optimizing application performance and scalability by identifying and addressing bottlenecks and implementing caching strategies

· Working with databases and data storage solutions to design efficient data models and implement data access layers

· Collaborating with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and manage the backend systems in production environments

· Conducting code reviews to maintain code quality standards and provide constructive feedback to peers

Requirements

· Solid experience in Java backend development

· Proficient in Java, with a deep understanding of the language's core concepts and libraries

· Strong knowledge of web application development and familiarity with server-side frameworks (eg, Spring, Hibernate)

· Experience with RESTful APIs and web services

· Familiarity with database systems and proficiency in SQL

· Understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices

· Familiarity with version control systems (eg, Git) and collaborative development workflows

· Knowledge of testing methodologies and experience with unit testing frameworks (eg, JUnit)

· Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a production environment

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

· Excellent teamwork and communication skills

· Preferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud platforms and services (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

· Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes

· Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
