The Associate Internal Auditor will review and determine the reliability of internal controls, assist with various departmental projects and ensure compliance with Corporate and Legal guidelines.

This dynamic position requires working with personnel across all functions of Kimberly-Clark and at all levels of responsibility.

The Associate Internal Auditor role is expected to perform a full range of audits and investigations, including financial, SOX compliance and operational audits of Kimberly-Clark Corporation.


Responsibilities and requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with a major or minor in accounting, finance or related field
  • 12 years of public accounting and/or private industry audit experience with knowledge of accounting, finance and internal control areas
  • A passion for working with peers and the business teams
  • Basic facilitation and collaboration skills, a flexible and friendly approach to working in teams and the attitude to always strive for the best outcomes
  • Empathy for the business point of view with the enthusiasm to support and build partnerships
  • Contributes to risk assessments
  • Executes audit activities under direction of lead auditors
  • Demonstrates basic project management skills for engagement notification, task assignments and time management
  • Basic interviewing knowledge and abilities to communicate with other functions
  • Ability to move fast by leveraging agile ways of working
  • Professional certification (CIA, CISA, CPA) or working towards certification
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred capabilities

  • Working knowledge of SAP and AuditBoard Management Software
  • Language skills (English is a must) additional languages are a plus
  • Advanced degree
