About you and this role - What you would do in this role

In this role, you will ensure accounting activity recorded within the Company's records and books are accurate and complete.

You will be responsible for customer and intercompany Invoicing to resolve the issue in creation, validation and distribution of invoices and communicating functional activity and reporting to process specialist.

You'll work as part of a team at Dow, and we have many opportunities to address challenging to streamline and automate the process.

Responsibilities - Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role.

  • Review blocked creation and validation cases and communicate with appropriate stakeholders CSR, Pricing team, Tax team & Accounting to review and resolve issues.
  • Action on the aged items pending invoices and follow up with appropriate stakeholder to ensure completeness.
  • Timely action on the cancellation request as per process procedure of cancellation.
  • Fix the Invoice discrepancies in accordance with business rules in SAP.
  • Timely action on the request of Invoice Output checking, Text update, Reprint of invoices and Distribution of Invoices.
  • Manual creation of invoices and send to the customer as per requirement.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all accounting transactions.
  • Identify areas to support auto rule for invoicing creation and other requirement of the process.
  • Monthly and quarterly closing, following the global closing schedule of workdays.
  • Internal quality control team.
  • Provide process improvement ideas.
  • Assistance to support operational task to colleagues as per backup plan.
  • Active participation in operational team meeting and employee engagement site level activity.
Qualifications - Required education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves).

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 4+ years working experience in accounting, with SAP knowledge.
  • 1+ years of relevant operations experience in a chemical or manufacturing


 Preferred Skills
  • An expanded list of qualifications that are "nice to have", but not essential.
  • Strong skills in SAP, Excel.
  • Team player with proactive communication style
  • Discount, GST, credit and debit notes, Rebate accruals impact on Invoicing
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP and Accounting policies
