Role DescriptionPayU India is in search of an experienced leader to step into the role of Head of Enterprise Risk Management. This presents a distinctive opportunity for an individual to join a dynamic business environment and play a crucial part in integrating risk management into the organization's ethos.
The primary responsibility involves maintaining and enhancing business operations by efficiently managing and mitigating significant risks while ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
The core focus will revolve around fortifying, redefining, and implementing a robust enterprise risk management structure that aligns with the organization's strategic objectives.
The selected candidate will spearhead the cultivation of a strong risk management culture, uniting various teams such as transaction risk, operational risk, process risk, enterprise risk, and IT security risk.
Additionally, the individual will establish a framework to effectively identify and evaluate risks, offer guidance, and incorporate risk mitigation practices into products and transactions.
Key Responsibilities - Enterprise Risk Strategy Formulation- Scan the market competition landscape to refine risk policies balancing business growth and risk control requirements.
- Develop risk strategies and plans to maintain business portfolio health and align with predefined targets.
- Collaborate with business heads to drive risk management initiatives and negotiate an optimal balance between enterprise risk and business expansion.
Regularly monitor portfolio trends and evaluate various parameters to ensure compliance with risk standards and objectives. Amend or introduce new product risk policies to sustain business growth with a healthy portfolio.
Risk MitigationEstablish a scoring system to monitor enterprise risk factors periodically, identify trends, and plan mitigation actions through policy adjustments. Provide risk data reports to shareholders and senior management for timely corrective actions on loss-making segments and underperforming portfolios.
Ensure adherence to risk policies and processes within the business, implementing corrective measures as necessary, and conducting routine audits to enhance business control and minimize risks.
Process Improvement- Devise new processes to reduce risks and enhance operational efficiency by incorporating market intelligence and best practices.
- Utilize analytics, technology, and databases to plan projects that automate decision-making operations, minimizing transactional risks and enhancing risk predictability.
- Collaborate with business leaders to implement process enhancements that mitigate risks and drive organizational change.
Effectively manage relationships with stakeholders and board committees.
Ideal Experience- We seek a seasoned risk management professional with over 15 years of proven experience in multi-stakeholder environments, including exposure to C-level and board-level audiences in matrix structures.
- The ideal candidate should have prior experience in leading enterprise risk within financial services, particularly in fintech, payments, or other regulated sectors, with an understanding of entrepreneurial expectations.
- Comprehensive comprehension of risk across financial and non-financial domains, operational and technological spheres, as well as security, privacy, compliance, and financial crime-related risks.
- Demonstrated passion for the role, with a credible ambition to facilitate PayU's success by providing management and the board with assurance and advice on business control adequacy while collaborating effectively with business and control functions throughout the organization.
