Roles & Responsibilities:
Conduct investigations into corrosion failures to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and implement corrosion control programs, including material selection, coatings selection, and cathodic protection systems.
Analyze and interpret corrosion data from inspection methods, such as ultrasonic testing, radiography, and visual inspections.
Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in corrosion science and technology.
Participate in the design and development of new facilities and equipment, considering corrosion resistance.
Provide technical support to operations and maintenance personnel on corrosion-related issues.
Prepare technical reports and presentations on corrosion findings and recommendations.
Conduct thorough corrosion and erosion assessments for new and existing facilities.
Participate in Root Cause Analyses to determine sources of corrosion and devise effective solutions.
Recommend suitable metallic and non-metallic materials for facilities based on corrosion assessments, operational needs, and environmental conditions.
Design and specify cathodic protection systems, both galvanic anodes and impressed current, to prevent corrosion.
Qualify and define the in-service requirements for chemical and physical process treatments to mitigate corrosion.
Determine requirements for corrosion monitoring, assessing current and emerging technologies for efficacy and suitability.
Ensure timely and accurate data collection from monitoring systems to enable proactive corrosion management.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
Solid experience in corrosion and integrity management, particularly within the oil and gas sector.
Profound understanding of industry standards, best practices, and methodologies related to corrosion prevention and management.
