Experience

12+ years of industry product development experience for analytical life science, medical device instrumentation, or related fields. Experience with manufacturing technologies for plastics and assembly, injection molding for fluidic sample cartridges. Proven success leading development and working in a global matrixed environment. Delivering successful products with a detailed understanding of engineering and product lifecycles and quality management systems. Strengths in plastic materials, FEA, static and dynamic thermomechanical simulation, mechatronics, DFM, DFSS, Solidworks CAD, GD&T. Ability to facilitate design of experiment (DOE), root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA). Strong hands-on ability working with life science hardware systems, including fluidic, mechanical, electrical, optical, and pneumatic subsystems. Fixing and optimization of system level performance. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to efficiently evaluate and prioritize different projects.
