Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced WebSphere Administrator with a strong background in managing Tomcat servers to join our dynamic IT team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of WebSphere and Tomcat environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our web applications.


Key Responsibilities :

WebSphere Administration :

  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
  • Manage and monitor WebSphere server performance and resource utilization.
  • Implement and maintain clustering and load balancing in WebSphere.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve WebSphererelated issues and incidents.
  • Perform regular patching and upgrades to ensure compliance and security.

Tomcat Administration :

  • Install, configure, and maintain Apache Tomcat servers.
  • Monitor and optimize Tomcat server performance.
  • Implement security best practices and manage SSL certificates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tomcatrelated issues and incidents.
  • Perform regular backups and recovery procedures for Tomcat environments.

General Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy and manage web applications.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automation of administration tasks.
  • Ensure proper documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in oncall rotation and provide afterhours support as needed.
  • Stay uptodate with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements.
