About the Role of Security Engineer - Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
  • Design and implement the best security practices
  • Identify and address security vulnerabilities using industry standards and automated solutions
  • Offer guidance on security best practices and assist teams in establishing, embracing, and enforcing security standards across the organization
  • Exceed compliance requirements by implementing cutting-edge security tools and methods to enhance the organization's security posture
  • Conduct regular reviews, monitor networks, analyze system logs to prevent unauthorized access, safeguard critical information, and maintain service availability
  • Develop Compliance automation through the creation of in-house tools, evaluation, and deployment of third-party products via PoCs
  • Participate in internal and external audits and ensure successful completion
  • Identify system security loopholes and provide permanent solutions
  • Identify and automate manual processes to enhance efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices at all levels and propose enhancements to existing processes
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of software and service infrastructure
  • Guide other engineers, shape our security culture, and contribute to building a rapidly expanding team
The Ideal Candidate - Experience:
  • Over 5 years of experience in designing and implementing security systems
  • In-depth understanding of Linux and Network security
  • Sound knowledge of security engineering, authentication, security protocols, and applied cryptography
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Perl, Python, Go, or Shell
  • Passionate about security, enjoys challenges, and stays updated on emerging security threats and technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration within the organization

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Proficiency in implementing and managing HIDS/NIDS, FIM, SIEM solutions
  • Experience in directory services and single sign-on solutions
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management, patching automation, and knowledge of VA/PT techniques
  • Understanding of information security standards like ISO 27001, PCI-DSS is a plus
