  • Responsibilities:
  • RSM is looking for a Tax Senior Associate to join our expanding Investment Fund practice. Our Investment Fund practice serves a range of complex clients in the financial services industry including private equity funds, hedge funds and FoF's.
As a Tax Senior Associate, you will be responsible for the following job duties that are focused around two core concepts:
your technical & quality expertise, and delivering excellent client service:

  • Responsibilities:
  • Preparing complex Private Equity, Hedge Fund and/or FoF partnership tax returns
  • Detailed review and analysis of Tax returns
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting or related field
  • 25 years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation within the investment fund industry
  • Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, EA or a licensed JD
  • Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements
  • Experience preparing and reviewing returns
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Performing, documenting, and summarizing research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues
  • Develop, motivate, and train staff level and intern team members
  • Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, concerns, etc.
  • Remain uptodate on current tax practices and changes in tax law
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Some travel may be required (varies based on location, line of business and client need)
