Qualifications:
Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions, with a focus on PaaS offerings.
Should have in depth understanding or executed new concepts like AWS/Azure cloud technologies
In-depth knowledge of AWS or Azure services and their respective capabilities, limitations, and pricing models
Proficiency in cloud computing concepts, architectures, and best practices.
Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or TypeScript for automation and orchestration tasks

Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, or Terraform.

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Should have Strong understanding of networking principles, security mechanisms, and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
Should have AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Should have worked atleast 4 projects using Agile/SAFe methodology
Should have cross global location experience and been part of a team of atleast 20+ members in a global delivery model
Should have knowledge on Data Architecture, Microservices & Service Oriented Architecture
Should have experience in gathering business requirements by collaborating with business users, stakeholders and SMEs
Should have experience in working with product managers, project managers, business users, applications development team members and Data Governance team on a daily basis to analyze requirements, design, development and deployment technical solutions

Responsibilities:
Develop and refine the organization's cloud strategy specifically focusing on AWS/Azure, aligning it with business goals and objectives.

Design scalable, resilient, and cost-effective PaaS solutions specifically leveraging AWS/Azure services that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices.

Evaluate AWS/Azure services and technologies to determine the most suitable options for the organization's needs, considering factors like performance, cost, and compliance.

Collaborate with application teams to plan and execute the migration of on-premises applications to AWS/Azure, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.

Monitor and optimize the performance of PaaS solutions on AWS/Azure, identifying bottlenecks and implementing enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability using platform-specific tools and services.

Define security and compliance requirements specific to AWS/Azure environments and work with security teams to implement appropriate controls and measures leveraging native security features.

Develop strategies for optimizing costs specifically on AWS/Azure, including rightsizing resources, implementing cost allocation mechanisms, and leveraging reserved instances or spot instances where applicable.

Implement automation and orchestration tools and processes specific to AWS/Azure to streamline provisioning, deployment, scaling, and management of PaaS resources.

Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans specifically for AWS/Azure environments, leveraging platform-specific features for data replication, backup, and failover.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, security, and management, to ensure alignment and collaboration on AWS/Azure PaaS initiatives.

Provide training and guidance to IT teams on AWS/Azure PaaS technologies, best practices, and processes, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Manage relationships with AWS/Azure as cloud service providers, ensuring effective communication, service delivery, and resolution of issues.
Establish governance frameworks and processes specific to AWS/Azure for managing PaaS resources, monitoring compliance, and mitigating risks effectively.

Continuously assess and optimize AWS/Azure PaaS solutions and processes to adapt to evolving business needs, technological advancements, and cloud platform features.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of AWS/Azure PaaS architectures, configurations, and processes, and generate reports to track performance, compliance, and other key metrics specific to the chosen cloud platform.
