They communicate findings with the most effective and influential methods.eCommerce Services (eCS) is seeking an exemplary Business Analyst with broad technical skills to develop data visualizations and build automation solutions that drive business decision making and process improvement.
The ideal candidate will draw upon advanced analytical, problem-solving skills, and passion for delivering business insights and analytics. We look for candidates who are excellent communicators, self-motivated, flexible, hardworking, and who like to have fun.The complexity of research and skills for a Business Analyst is well beyond basic data entry and extraction. It involves design and development of automated data pipelines, sophisticated analytical modeling and intuitive data visualization.
This role will directly be responsible for maintaining front end code using Python, SQL, HTML, Java, and R, or other similar coding languages.
Proficiency in the aforementioned languages is not required, but an ability to be a quick learner and gain proficiency is required for a successfully candidate.
This role will have high level visibility due to the nature of the toolsets being maintained, built, and the network impact of analysis conducted.

In eCommerce Services (eCS), we build systems that span the full range of eCommerce functionality, from Privacy, Identity, Purchase Experience and Ordering to Shipping, Tax and Financial integration.
eCommerce Services manages several aspects of the customer life cycle, starting from account creation and sign in, to placing items in the shopping cart, proceeding through checkout, order processing, managing order history and post-fulfillment actions such as refunds and tax invoices.
eCS services determine sales tax and shipping charges, and we ensure the privacy of our customers.Our mission is to provide a commerce foundation that accelerates business innovation and delivers a secure, available, performant, and reliable shopping experience to Amazon's customers.
Key job responsibilitiesAn ideal candidate for this role:
- Will have relevant experience in data analytics working with large data sets and to extract and transform data using various tools and technologies
- Will transform data into actionable business information, and will make it readily accessible to stakeholders worldwide
- Will use data to support ideas, drive actionable outcomes, and provide unique ways to present data and information in an easy to consume format
- Will be passionate about finding root causes, trends, and patterns and how they impact business.
- Will draw inferences and conclusions, create dashboards and visualizations of processed data
- Will have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with product owners to understand key business questions to build reports that enable product owners to answer those questions quickly and accurately
. Will thrive in an agile and fast-paced environment on highly visible projects and initiatives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of analytical field experience
- 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Experience with Excel
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering , analytics, mathematics, statistics or a related technical or quantitative field
- Experience in working with databases, ETL and SQL in a business environment
- Demonstrated use of analytical packages and query languages such as SAS, R, Python and SQL
- Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Quick Sight
- Experience communicating analytical outcomes through written communication to both business and technical teams
