This pivotal research role entails assisting in enhancing our expertise by identifying and developing impactful emerging technology research. This research will support client success through our cutting-edge delivery platforms encompassing digital, traditional research, and client-specific projects.

Our analyst teams are responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting technical intelligence to keep our members informed about crucial developments shaping mid to long-term technology strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough primary and secondary research to detect emerging technology trends, value chain dynamics, and potential opportunities or risks.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of specific emerging technology areas, monitoring aspects such as competition, innovation, market applications, and more.
  • Design and implement qualitative and quantitative research methods to collect insightful data, including complex surveys and interviews.
  • Analyze data using statistical software and analytical tools to identify patterns, trends, and valuable segments affected by emerging technologies.
  • Create clear and concise research outputs, including visual aids, to spark discussions and drive action among our members. Additionally, provide support to senior research leadership.
  • Predict and track the impact of technologies on different timeframes and categories.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to formulate and enhance strategies based on research findings and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and new research methodologies to continually enhance our research endeavors.
  • Assist project management teams in fulfilling client-specific requests by applying core research skills to bespoke projects.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to broaden their expertise across various fields and ideally hold an advanced degree in a technology or science-related discipline.

No prior consulting experience is mandatory, but familiarity with frameworks and tools for addressing client issues in this domain is advantageous.

  • Advanced or Master's degree in a technology or science-related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in practical research or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Proven track record in providing strategic and tactical recommendations based on detailed technology, business, and market research.
  • Proficiency in statistical software like SPSS and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate research findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple research projects concurrently.
  • Familiarity with various market research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative techniques.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setup.
