  • Lead the development of robust, scalable pipelines with integrated data quality checks to process and manage data from various sources.
  • Provide guidance on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Influence architectural design and decisions.
  • Establish strong relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to understand data requirements and meet them effectively.
  • Enhance engineering processes and foster collaboration across teams.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks in alignment with company goals.
  • Offer strategic insights to enhance the Data Engineering function and implement best practices in building internal data products by staying informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
This Role Requires
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading data teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with dbt, Airflow, and Snowflake.
  • Proficiency with Apache Iceberg tables.
  • Experience in developing data lakes in AWS (Spark/Glue, Athena), covering data modeling, data quality standards, and self-service tools.
  • Track record of mentoring data professionals across different career levels.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Passion for data and code quality, adherence to SLAs, and a commitment to continuous enhancement.
  • Thorough understanding of data system architecture and ETL/ELT patterns.
  • Proficiency in one object-oriented language for development (e.g., Python, R, Scala).
  • Familiarity with SQL and related tools.
  • Bonus points if you have experience in data observability.
