Job Description:


This is a key role within the TR Bangalore-India office delivering across Concept and Feasibility, FEED, Pre-FEED and EPC scopes of work.

In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of project work in accordance with the project execution plan, including TR and/or Project Procedures on Safety within the man-hour, cost and the project schedule targets.


Tasks:

  • Executing assigned scopes of work
  • Co-ordinating with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up
  • Expert knowledge of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-up
  • Manage Technical Safety discipline team
  • Participating in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when required
  • Ensure that all project Health, Safety and Environmental policies are complied with
  • Expert awareness of international codes and standards
  • Expert knowledge of design deliverables associated with loss prevention scopes
  • Experience of coordinating HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Classification studies
  • Experience of directing Management of Change (MOC) reviews
  • Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling as required
  • Able to interrogate and review and perform Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) as required
  • Providing sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline
  • Resource management
  • Providing Technical Safety guidance to the team
  • Being accountable for the quality of Technical Safety deliverables
  • Participate in audits and incident investigations as required
  • Providing technical support to site as required

  • Actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development
  • Ensure that design meets all Technical Safety requirements and maintains risks to as low as reasonably practicable
  • Self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments
Requisitos

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree qualification in an Chemical engineering or similar discipline is essential
  • Experience of working on conceptual and FEED project phases
  • Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at a relevant level and position
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Minimum of 10 years proven capability in an EPC company
  • previous experience of site-based project work involving field engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, or maintenance would be an advantage is strongly preferred
  • Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
  • Experience of participation in project design reviews such as HAZID, ENVID and/or HAZOP, ALARP.
  • Ability to use Technical Safety software pertinent to design reviews (e.g. DNV Phast & Safeti, Gexcon Shell FRED & Shepherd, Schlumberger Flaresim)
  • NGL experience is an additional advantage.
