Points to remember to target the right profiles:
  • Ja va Full stack (java and Angular or React) and Cloud experience (AWS or Azure or GCP) are mandatory.

Any one of the EA Framework certifications (FEAF/TOGAF/Zachman) or Cloud Certification (AWS or Azure or GCP) is good to have.

Solution design & Engineering
Lead the design of new technology initiatives aligned with future state platforms, supporting business goals and drivers.

Set the technical direction on specific projects by delivering implementable architecture designs that account for technology modernization in a practical and iterative way.

Seek guidance or make balanced decisions that account for time-to-market, reduction of technical debt, supportability, and business needs.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand and document solution requirements.
Design and document high-level and detailed solution architecture that meet functional, performance, security, and usability requirements.

Participate in design reviews, code reviews and peer reviews to ensure conformance to proposed designs, integration patterns, security patterns and general best practices.

Work on mix of brownfield and greenfield application and accelerate the DevSecOps adoption and shift-left development strategy, working with enterprise DevSecOps team.

Involve and/or deep dive into Azure migration & application modernization.
Able to showcase technology, ideas, innovation helping improve operational efficiency.

Build and develop reusable assets/components for digital portal, mobile, API and data domain for adoption within digital domain enterprise wide.

Keep the digital portfolio of applications operational and provide technical expertise during any application outages if needed.
Help research and prototype emerging technologies that advance digital transformation.
Ensure compliance with Chubb technology platforms roadmap and architectural principles.

Project execution & delivery support:
Assess, estimate, prioritize, deliver within project timelines working alongside with delivery team.

Provide technical expertise to project teams and stakeholders by providing guidance and resolving technical challenges during the development and implementation phases.

Identify and assess technical risks associated with current project and digital domain.

Qualifications:

Must have:
At least 10 years of experience in software development and/or application architecture.
At least 3 years of experience in UI frameworks like Angular (preferred), Node, React, etc.
Past Experience with hands-on coding in a modern programming language (e.g. Java, Python, etc.) and Springboot, microservices, REST, SOAP Services etc.
Strong relational (DB2, SQL Server) and non-relational (Cosmos DB, MongoDB) database knowledge.

Strong cloud (Azure preferred) experience in multiple areas from API Management, Kubernetes containers, Cosmos DB, App service, Azure functions, Redis cache etc.

At least 1 year of DevOps/DevSecOps experience & familiarity with Jenkins/similar tools.
At least 2 year of experience using API testing tools like Postman/SOAP UI, etc
Experienced working across SDLC, Agile methodologies.
Team player with strong communication, problem solving, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with global teams across North America and India.

Good to have (Plus):
P&C Insurance or Financial Services domain background a plus.
Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) certification a plus.
Familiarity with messaging platforms such as Kafka/IBM MQ, etc
Familiarity with source control tools such as Github, etc
Familiarity with iOS/Android toolkits.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
