The primary tasks include assisting controllers during monthly books closure and year-end statutory audit tasks. About You - experience, education, skills, and achievements

  • 6 to 8 years of experience with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication.
  • Prior experience working with multinational corporations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business processes, compliances, and controls.
  • Strong expertise in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite (preferred), Blackline, OneStream (highly preferred).

It would be ideal if you also had .

  • Experience as an entity controller.
  • Handled periodic books closure and statutory audits.
  • Knowledge of Accounting under IGAAP/IFRS (Preferred), Taxation in India and Asia Region (Preferred), Record to Report Exposure.
  • Managed Big4s Statutory Audits.
  • Experience in Financial Statements Preparation, Consolidation, Review, and Analysis.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Monitoring balance sheet and financial reporting.
  • Overseeing controllership responsibilities for specified countries, highlighting accounting and business issues promptly.
  • Ensuring timely month-end closure as per Clarivate's global reporting schedule, reviewing critical accounts for accuracy in line with accounting policies, and being accountable for the reported financial information.
  • Supervising reconciliations by regional team members.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and policies for responsible company balance sheets.
  • Identifying risks, calculating reserves, accruals, and provisions, along with balance sheet analysis and providing flux explanations.
  • Collaborating with third-party providers for statutory and tax reporting, year-end submissions, and other accounting matters.
  • Supporting local transactional teams in the Asian region for statutory and tax compliance.

About the Team

The team comprises 10 members, including controllers and a finance director focusing primarily on the Asia region, followed by Euro-Asia and specific European regions.

Hours of Work

12 pm - 9 pm shift (flexible) IST.
