Qualcomm is in search of a Business Development Manager to spearhead strategic partnerships with key 3rd party tech providers. The ideal candidate will be accountable for establishing and nurturing enduring techno-commercial relationships with strategic software vendors. Strong candidates should possess a robust background in system architecture, OS, multimedia (specifically image, video, audio, and AI), along with a profound understanding of software processes/lifecycle and mobile SoC architecture. Moreover, analytical prowess, coupled with the ability to think strategically for long-term competitive advantages, is crucial.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Evaluating potential partnership opportunities and identifying compelling use cases that enhance Qualcomm's product offerings value proposition across Mobile, PC, IoT, and Auto.
    Establishing and expanding sustainable commercial relationships with 3rd party app developers. Engaging with customers (OEMs, ISVs, Distributors, etc.) to support partner technology in end products. Analyzing market, customer, competition, and technology landscapes to inform the HQ roadmap teams for a differentiated product offering. Identifying new opportunities and driving deals to address app developer challenges.
    Identifying product gaps based on market, developer, and ecosystem analyses. Creating business cases and validating new product development to align with business goals. Collaborating with technology product managers, engineering, and test organizations to define customer-centric features. Working with Technology Product Management team to devise partner ecosystem strategies. Defining key product KPIs and ensuring stakeholder alignment for customer-centric outcomes tracking. Leveraging system architecture knowledge to optimize partner technology solutions on Snapdragon chipsets. Collaborating with engineering, program management, marketing, and sales teams to meet partner specifications. Developing business cases, negotiating contracts, and aligning with Qualcomm's business development strategies. Traveling to customer and partner sites to coordinate on product strategies and roadmaps (approx. 25% travel).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in BD/Partnerships/Strategy, with a focus on Engineering. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science/engineering. Demonstrated experience in business development, partnerships within the global wireless and Internet industry. Proficiency in analyzing complex business challenges and presenting solutions to executive audiences. Strong interpersonal, communication skills, and adept at executive presentations. Self-motivated, persuasive, and driven individuals.
