Overview:
We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Business Manager to join our Backoffice team. As a Business Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various administrative functions crucial for the smooth operation and compliance of our organization, with a focus on flexibility according to US Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Workers Compensation Insurance: Conduct a yearly audit of the overall premium for workers' compensation insurance, collaborating closely with the Accounts department for necessary details and reconciliations.
  • General Liability/ Business Owner Insurance: Manage policy renewals, ensuring thorough examination of invoices and related documentation for accurate and compliant payments.
  • New York Disability and Family Leave: Update payroll data quarterly within specified limits for each employee as per New York State regulations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation: Perform a yearly true-up of total payroll for Ohio employees, ensuring compliance and accurate calculations.
  • Bills/Invoices Validation: Validate all company invoices, including software, healthcare, and rental-related invoices, to guarantee accuracy and timely payments.
  • Fidelity Bond: Conduct periodic checks on the required amount every three years and ensure compliance with 401K regulations.
  • Employee Health Care: Verify and reconcile healthcare invoices for accuracy in charges and payments, maintaining detailed records.
  • State Corporation Commission (SCC): Manage monthly fees, ensure timely payments, and oversee annual payments in compliance with SCC regulations.
  • Rentals: Monitor lease renewals, upgrades, property tax payments, and emergencies related to rental properties.
  • Research Work: Conduct studies on new software solutions, analyze costs, and provide detailed reports for informed decision-making.
  • Process Documents: Develop detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline administrative processes.
  • Credit Card Statement: Review and allocate credit card expenses to appropriate heads for accurate financial tracking.
