We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role
AVP_FINANCE OPERATIONS**
Principal Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation and review of primary statements, notes and other disclosures in the HBUK Annual Report & Accounts and Interim Reports including providing analytical review and commentary and undertaking stakeholder management across various businesses and functions.
  • Supporting and review of FINREP submission to PRA & Group.
  • Support the production of existing and designing new financial reporting information requirements and disclosures (ensuring best practice and compliance with listing requirements and regulatory standards),
  • Specifying effective data collection mechanisms and collecting complex financial information.
  • Evaluating impact of Chart of Accounts changes on Reporting system reports and System hierarchies. Take proactively steps for resolving potential reporting issues.
  • Respond to queries from senior level management and auditors as required
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and drive reengineering and optimization of processes.
  • Maintain a robust and compliant control environment.
  • Ability to manage the service delivery of a designated process across function and jurisdiction.
  • Independently discuss new/complex reporting with Finance Control contacts and planning for the same.
  • Execute action plan around Key Performance Indicators on the gaps and on Business Partner Feedback
  • Ability to coach and share knowledge with other team members
  • Stakeholder management and engagement across various businesses and functions.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation per RCA requirement.
  • Ensure SOPs are up to date.
  • Adherence to Group policies, Regulatory reporting requirements, audit, controls and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure testing of processes per business continuity plan.
Requirements

Qualifications - External

  • Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant)/CWA /CPA /CFA/ MBA (Finance)/ PGDBM-Finance/ACMA with experience in accounting/financial reporting, global consolidation, financial analysis within, IFRS and IAS reporting framework. Prior experience in IFRS and FINREP highly preferred
  • Ability to anticipate future needs of stakeholders, reconcile opposing stakeholders needs.
  • Good analytical skills, an eye for detail and a drive for quality, statistical skills to study trends, understand and to interpret Numeric information
  • Ability to understand numbers and their impact drive and achieve accuracies across report deliverables.
  • Ability to manage the service delivery of designated processes across functions and jurisdictions.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word), Saracen and Hyperion.


 Excellent Communication skills
  • Both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in planning and organizing techniques as well as in problem solving techniques.
  • Selfdriven, drive high performance culture with role model behaviours.
  • Flexibility to work in accordance with Business requirements
  • Good understanding of consolidated financial statements
  • Should be open to shifts and willing to work overtime as per the process requirements.
