Job Description:

About Architecture and Data Governance Organization :"Architecture and Data Governance" comes under IM Governance and Agile Transformation department in D&IM function.

Data Governance Manager will be working closely with the departments Data officers, global data governance function, Enterprise Architecture, Customer & Programmes Solutions, Corporate Functions, Digital Platforms and Workplace & Infrastructure on the overall data governance activities in India.


Your role :


As a Data Governance manager, you are responsible for :Leadership of data governance activities in India for delivering the expected value to meet function and business needs, protecting data, ensuring data compliance, promoting data usage, standardizing data, streamlining information systems supporting data and improving data quality.

Set up, streamline and promote Data Governance practices (processes, tools, awareness & training...) in the Airbus India (in alignment with global Data Governance) roof


A detailed cartography of data with its associated properties; link to IM Enterprise Architecture to connect data objects and source systems, link to Data Officers for business objects.

Assess the Airbus India's compliance with the data governance referential and the risk and action plan associated to data

Manage internal and external data governance activities including training, awareness and communications.


Support Business and Information Management stakeholders on prioritizing Data Governance related investment consistently with the defined strategy and the expected value delivered.

For New Engagement onboarding (including NA) - guide on pre-requisite related to data classification (including tools)

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Manage and actively support the Application Owners in the process of data classification, Risk assessment and Risk elimination / mitigation

Ensure the Tagging/labeling of the generated data at Airbus India Information Management & its suppliers with Airbus equivalent classification

Defining training solutions for end users on data sensitivity classification and tagging

Privacy focal point in India to manage the entry into TrustArc and complete personal data processing link to EN.IM process

Align Airbus India's data governance efforts with the global data standards and guidelines

Support the innovative data governance initiatives towards the use of new digital technologies

Guide IM India team on the process of application registration in myportfolio (mapping to correct ABP, ETA etc)

Validate, collect and broadcast the appropriate KPI and dashboards

for monitoring

Provide guidance on appropriate data usage and risks to business in developing and deploying data based added value services.

Steer innovation and scouting related to data usage, data regulation, data analysis, data business model.

Required Professional

Experience:
Graduate/Post Graduate with 12+ years of experience in IT / Services / Engineering domains with strong focus on enterprise data lifecycle management and governance framework (with good hold on digital technologies)

Required Leadership Skills:
Ability to influence senior managers and communicate to top management level

Project Management

Ability to motivate the team to complete the project work

Coordinate activities by establishing direction, aligning people

Stakeholders management and networking skills

Strong passion for technology and market trends in Digital technologies

Ability to take decisions in a complex environment

Problem solving mindset

Capability to understand and deliver new business and customer requirements

Technical Skills:
Strong experience in the overall data lifecycle

Good understanding of data regulations like GDPR, Export Controls, PII etc.

Good understanding of data architecture & data security

Strong experience of data governance principles and framework

Knowledge on landscape of IT applications in Airbus is a plus

Knowledge of Aerospace domain, especially in managing digital applications is a plus

Travels outside India may be required as per business needs.
