Software Development Manager (M2) for Identity & Access Management services to lead efforts in, designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support our health care platform

As a Software Development Manager (M2) in our team, you'll be responsible for, and lead efforts in, designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support our health care platform and the users it serves.

We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers.

As the software development manager of the team, you will own the complete software development lifecycle, from design, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production.

Java development experience is required.

Other recommended tools and technologies may include Rest APIs, Maven, Jenkins, Ruby, Terraform, JAX-RS/Jersey, OAuth/OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML/SAML2, and React JS, among others.

Demonstrated understanding of cloud native architecture and experience with either AWS or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is desired. Experience with identity and access management concepts would be very valuable but is not required.

Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineering is building the next generation of health care platform using cloud native solutions to provide a superior patient experience.

The platform and control plane build foundational building blocks that make up the stack and services to manage environment lifecycle events.

IAM Engineering is responsible for R&D, focusing on leveraging open standards and interoperable technologies to make the infrastructure as agile and adaptable as possible.

We are focused on the crucial topics of identity and securityhow to identify the various people, devices, and systems that make up the cloud; how to allow them to securely communicate with one other; how to track what they do, etc.

Oracle Health is putting humans at the heart of the conversation and what the healthcare experience needs to look like – for patients, providers, payers, and the population.

We will facilitate this by advancing the state of the art in healthcare and population level health, make it practical, effective, and real at practitioner level by connecting everything together.

This will allow a patient to get point of care from anyone, anywhere or any device by providing the practitioner medical information leveraging global data.


Lead the architecture, development and maintenance of a solution or platform
Proactively identify gaps in the existing infrastructure and development process, acting as a catalyst for change for greater system and solution efficiency
Provide direction in architecture discussions, design sessions and code reviews on functional correctness, architectural maintainability and performance
Leverage deep technical and solution expertise to create clear, well-constructed technical designs of large scope
Code for high-risk projects that have solution dependencies within and outside current team
Iterate with product and operations organisations to maintain solution vision
Promote engineering culture and values across the organisation and OHAI
