This role is based 100% in Bengaluru in India, running a team that covers a 16x5 shift pattern with an on-call rotation.

You're not expected to cover all shifts, but you'd be required to oversee three shifts, and

occasionally

work with them between 18:00 and 22:30, when all shifts are on-line. Occasional international travel may be required for company events, special team meetings and / or workshops.
As a Software Engineering Team Lead in Arm IT, you will be responsible for our tailored digital platforms. Your role is pivotal in driving the strategic roadmap and operational performance of customised solutions, initiatives and services.

You are expected to maintain a balance between technical proficiency, team leadership and a good understanding of full stack software development.


Required Skills and Experience:


As you will be managing a technical team, a strong combination of technical knowledge and experience as a line manager is needed.

You will have at least a B.

Tech in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with at least 8 years of industry experience, 5 years in a leadership role, of which 2 years of line management and running successful technical teams.

You have robust DevOps project management and delivery skills, with a verifiable history of delivering software projects.

LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE SKILLS

Highly proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Empower team members, foster a positive work atmosphere, and keep the team engaged and committed to team objectives.
Nurture professional growth of team members through regular mentoring, coaching, and feedback.
Comfortable raising issues and concern, especially in understanding that saying "I don't know" is acceptable.

PROCESS

Risk Management:
Identify potential project, delivery and operational risks early, evaluate their impact, and implement strategies to mitigate them.

Facilitate incident resolution and service restoration during P1 / P2 incidents, ensuring robust support levels and smooth user experience is always maintained.

The ability to continually analyse current processes, identify areas for enhancement, and implement improvements to efficiency and effectiveness.

TECHNICAL


Good working knowledge of the following gained from historical experience as a full stack engineer, including:Proficiency in Cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS and their standard practices.

Containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.

Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language like Java, C, Python, orSingle Page Applications (SPAs) using frameworks like React, Angular, or including state management.

Experience with integration concepts such as APIs, Microservices and ETL.Tools that automate manual processes like Jenkins, Azure DevOps and Terraform.

Databases like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Cosmos DB.
