Essential Qualification

Chess Proficiency:
Demonstrated mastery of chess principles and strategies, often evidenced by a high Elo rating or competitive achievements.

Teaching Experience:
Proven ability to coach players of different skill levels, conveying concepts effectively and adapting teaching methods as needed.

Pedagogical Skills:
Understanding of diverse teaching techniques tailored to individual learning styles, facilitating both group and one-on-one instruction.

Knowledge of Chess Resources:
Familiarity with chess literature and software, enabling the recommendation of relevant study materials and tools for student improvement.

Desired Qualification
Bachelor's/Master's Degree Physical Education & Sports Science or any other (related) fields

Coaching accreditation from federation with coaching experience

Additional training or certification in chess

Participation in chess tournaments or coaching players who have achieved notable success in competitive chess events.

Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages

Capability to implement creative and innovative teaching techniques, fostering engagement and enthusiasm among students.

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop Training Programs:
Design and implement structured training programs for players of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced competitors.

Teach Chess Fundamentals:

Instruct players on the basic rules of chess, piece movements, and fundamental strategies, ensuring a strong foundation for all students.

Advanced Strategy and Tactics:
Teach advanced strategies and tactics, including openings, middle-game planning, endgame techniques, and positional play.

Game Analysis:
Analyze players' games to identify strengths and weaknesses. Provide detailed feedback and guidance to improve their performance.

Competition Preparation:
Prepare students for local, regional, and national chess tournaments. Develop training plans to enhance competitive play and tournament readiness.

Monitor Progress:
Track and evaluate players' progress through regular assessments and provide personalized feedback to help them achieve their goals.

Mentorship and Motivation:
Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering a positive, encouraging environment. Motivate students to set and achieve personal and competitive milestones.

Conduct Workshops and Seminars:

Organize and lead workshops, seminars, and special training sessions on various aspects of chess, such as openings, endgames, and historical games.

Promote Critical Thinking:
Encourage the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills through the strategic aspects of chess.
