As a Senior Android Engineer within DAZN's Technology & Product Engineering team, DAZN is seeking a talented, Sr Android Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of Android Player for TV & Mobile applications for the Android platform.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Android development using vanilla Android, Kotlin, Jetpack, software design and architecture principles.

As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Further develop Player on both mobile and TV platforms by writing structured, testable and maintainable code in Kotlin.
Provide and accept meaningful feedback through code reviews, peer programming and technical discussions.
Actively contribute to technical decisions, process improvement and participate in cross-team initiatives.
Participate in regular roll-outs by creating the release candidate build, monitoring and handling the regression issuesWork on bug fixing by identifying and resolving root causesPerform unit tests on codeStay up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols

You will be set up for success if you have:
7+ years of experience in native Android software development.

Publishing at least one original Android appSolid knowledge of software design and architecture principles, Kotlin and Android specific tech stack ( Jetpack, Coroutines, Dagger2, etc)A proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GitSolid understanding of the full mobile development life cycleExperience working with an ExoPlayer will be a significant plusDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldGreat interpersonal and communication skillsAt DAZN, we bring ambition to life.
