About the company

The company has been founded by a second-time entrepreneur & raised capital from marquee VC funds. It aims to revolutionize the fertility space by a customer centric and tech enabled approach. The company will have its own set of fertility clinics and will offer services linked to egg freezing & IVF. Our vision is to use technology & create gold-standard IVF experience with in-house doctors, best success-rates, protocols, customer app etc.

About the Role:

As a Frontend Developer at Sparrow Health, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our clinic operations and customer-facing mobile application. You will be responsible for designing and implementing intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing interfaces that enhance user engagement and satisfaction. Your expertise in React Native will drive the creation of seamless and efficient user experiences. You will collaborate closely with backend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that our app delivers a holistic and user-friendly experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development : Architect, develop, and maintain scalable and responsive user interfaces using React Native. Ensure that our mobile applications not only meet but exceed performance and scalability standards.
  • User Experience : Craft intuitive and visually appealing designs to enhance user engagement and satisfaction, ensuring a seamless interaction across all touchpoints of the application.
  • Integration : Work in sync with backend developers to weave together user-facing elements with server-side logic, creating a fluid and cohesive application architecture.
  • Performance Optimization : Enhance frontend components for optimal performance and efficiency, tailored for a wide range of devices and browsers to guarantee a consistent user experience everywhere.
  • Release and Update Management : Manage app releases on platforms like the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Use strategies for release management that allow updates to occur over the air, letting users update the app without needing reinstallation. Identify and prioritize fixes for production issues to maintain and boost app stability and performance.
  • Testing and Debugging : Perform rigorous unit testing and debugging of frontend components to uphold the highest quality of code, ensuring robustness and reliability in real-world usage.
  • Documentation : Generate and upkeep comprehensive documentation for frontend processes and systems, making it easier for team continuity and onboarding.
  • Collaboration : Engage closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver innovative features that elevate the overall customer experience and meet strategic objectives.
  • Technology Stack : Remain at the forefront of frontend development technologies and trends, enabling the application to stay competitive and cutting-edge in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience specializing in frontend development with a deep focus on React Native.
  • Expertise in React Native : Demonstrated depth of knowledge in React Native for developing mobile applications. Proven track record in building performant mobile apps using React Native.
  • Expo Framework : Strong experience with the Expo framework, leveraging its capabilities to expedite development and deployment across iOS and Android platforms.
  • UI/UX Design : Robust understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices, with a proven ability to create intuitive and user-centric designs.
  • Cross-Platform Development : Proficient in cross-platform development, ensuring consistent functionality and aesthetics across various devices and operating systems.
  • Version Control : Experienced in using version control systems, particularly Git, to manage code changes and collaborate efficiently with development teams.
  • Agile Methodologies : Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, demonstrating the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Release Management : Expertise in managing releases across the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including setting up and maintaining continuous integration and delivery pipelines. Experience with over-the-air updates to facilitate smoother app updates without necessitating a full reinstallation.
  • Healthcare Domain Knowledge : Experience in the healthcare sector, particularly with healthcare applications, is advantageous, as it provides insight into compliance and user needs in this critical industry.
