What You Will Do:

The Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) organization is at the core of lifecycle engineering at TJX, responsible for delivering, maintaining, and optimizing the technology portfolio at a rapid pace. We are a customer-centric team dedicated to providing exceptional experiences to thousands of TJX associates, business partners, and application delivery teams.

As a Senior Engineer in our Application Hosting Services (AHS) team, you play a crucial role in enhancing, developing features, and ensuring secure deployment of the foundational compute platforms necessary for our product teams to achieve their business goals. You will lead the adoption of DevSecOps best practices to deliver high-quality code using modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Collaborating with a global team of engineers and architects, you will follow a Kanban methodology to deliver solutions that cater to daily operations, simplify troubleshooting, and ensure business continuity.

What You Will Need:

The Application Hosting Services Team is looking for innovative, customer-focused individuals with strong technical expertise and a mindset geared towards continuous enhancement. We revolutionize the way software and infrastructure are deployed at scale and collaborate closely with other teams to enhance critical services. You excel in breaking down complex problems into actionable steps that drive product development, all while prioritizing product quality and security.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent Engineering background / training / practical experience in the relevant technical field
  • 4+ years of robust Virtualization Engineer system administration experience in an Agile environment (Scrum / Kanban / Safe)
  • Hands-on experience in leading and executing medium to large-scale projects from start to finish, with a solid grasp of Coding standards, Performance tuning, and database principles
  • Demonstrated track record in Virtualization system installations and upgrades
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities. A collaborative team player with mentoring skills
  • Capability to navigate work dynamics and conflicting priorities while progressing towards project objectives
  • Exhibits a positive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong inclination towards automation and engineering
