Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Python Django Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining scalable web applications using Python and the Django framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications using Python and Django
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement features.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Integrate applications with various databases, such as PostgreSQL, and ensure data integrity and efficiency.
  • Utilize message broker services like RabbitMQ and task queue systems like Celery to build asynchronous and distributed systems.
  • Implement and consume RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between different systems and services.
  • Work with DevOps practices and tools to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to coding best practices and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in the production environment.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in Python and Django development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 to 8 years of professional experience in developing web applications using Python and Django
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming language and its ecosystem
  • Deep understanding of Django framework, its components, and best practices
  • Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and knowledge of database design and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with message brokers like RabbitMQ and task queue systems like Celery for building distributed and asynchronous systems.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation
  • Experience with DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and its services
  • Understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring development teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Django REST Framework and building RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with caching mechanisms like Redis for optimizing application performance.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the Python and Django communities
  • Certification in Microsoft Azure or other relevant cloud platforms
