Gartner has an exciting career opportunity for a Business Analyst within our Global Sales Strategy and Operations team Our Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) team's mission is to improve seller productivity through process design, territory planning, technology, learning and enablement, analytics and more. The team strives to simplify and improve the seller experience, remove obstacles and provide data to make the right decisions. The successful candidate will join Gartner's Sales and Marketing Technologies & Reporting department and work alongside team of Product Owners in a critical role to define scope and value around our Anaplan product for Territory Design and Management.

This role is accountable for supporting ongoing and new initiatives in various business systems, services, while adding value to business and IT teams. This role is accountable for partnering with business partners and development teams to delivery large, complex projects to include scope, testing, analysis, and process improvements toward business value realization. This role aligns with Agile teams to ensure projects are defined, tested, and delivered consistently with company strategy, commitments, goals, and standards.

What you will do:

Partner with Product, Technology and Business Process Owners to define requirements, release plans, grooming and prioritizing backlog. Own product and process flow documentation along with the writing of user acceptance testing cases. Assist end users with support including holding office hours for the product. Analyze and rationalize requirements to determine agreed, achievable project objectives that align to organizational goals, strategies, and objectives. Practice data driven decision making, improve reporting and identify, evaluate, and proactively propose process improvement activities. Identify issues/problems, scope exclusions, tracking business and technical assumptions, and communicating constraints. Translate understanding of business process improvements into IT solution requirements to create effective and innovative business solutions with business and IT teams.

What you will need:

BS/BA in computer science, business analysis, or equivalent working experience. 1 - 3 years of experience in a role that required business analyst skills with at least a year's experience in projects using Agile and/or Waterfall Methodologies. Strong business acumen and in-depth process knowledge of various business functions such as Finance, Accounting, Commissions, Customer Success, Legal, and other various Business Domains with a proven track record of acting as a valued IT business partner to senior leadership. Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to quickly build credibility and influence to make recommendations to technical and non-technical personnel at all levels. Critical thinking with excellent judgment and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple project deliverables. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Visio, Jira, Confluence. PMP and / or Agile Scrum certifications preferred. Data driven and analytical by nature with a demonstratable passion for adding value. Consistently demonstrating integrity, collaboration, no limits mindset, objectivity, and delivers results using proven best practices and methodologies. Solving complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change. Passionate about delivering technology solutions to improve business processes. Goal-oriented and strong team player with the ability to negotiate through influence, foster teamwork and build relationships with cross-functional teams.
