Key SkillsAdvanced knowledge in Core Java, Spring Core, Spring AOP, Spring Data, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, Openshift, CouchbaseKnowledge of Docker & Kubernetes will be an addon.

Critical Experiences1. At least 2 years' hands-on experience as a Java software developer2. At least 1 years' experience hands-on on Microservices development3. At least 1 years' hands-on experience working with Spring, Docker, Openshift/Kubernetes and Helm charts4.

At least 1 years' Experience working with CI processes (Jenkins preferred), version control (GIT preferred) and Artifact repositories (Nexus preferred)5.

Exposure with AWS/Azure will be a advantage.
Credentials1. Awareness of programming concepts and ability to write software code in at least one programming language.2. Bachelor's degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent.

What will your job look like?

  • You will design, develop, modify, debug and/or maintain software code according to functional, non-functional and technical design specifications.
  • You will follow Amdocs software engineering standards, applicable software development methodology and release processes, to ensure code is maintainable, scalable, and supportable, and demo the software products to stakeholders.
  • You will investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code, provide fixes and workarounds, and review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions.
  • You will work within a team, collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, provide comments and suggestions, and work with cross functional teams to achieve goals.
  • You will assume technical accountability for your specific work products within an application and provide technical support during solution design for new requirements.
  • You will be encouraged to actively look for innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiency in all assigned tasks.
Key responsibilities1. Engineering - Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and/or maintains software code according to functional, non-functional and technical design specifications. Follows Amdocs software engineering standards, applicable software development methodology and release processes. Ensures code is maintainable, scalable and supportable. Presents demos of the software products to stakeholders and internal/external customers. Uses knowledge of the product/solution and technologies to influence the direction and evolution of the product/solution. Serves as an expert on specific technology. Experience in the Microservices development, with main focus on Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker and Helm Charts2.

Investigation - Investigates issues by reviewing/debugging code and providing fixes (analyzes and fixes bugs) and workarounds, reviews changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions.

Highlights risks and helps mitigate risks from technical aspects.3. Analysis - Analyzes requirement documents/HLDs.

Performs impact assessment (for example, for critical production issues) and contributes to Root Cause Analysis of issues and outlines corrective actions.4.

Team Work and Collaboration - Collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve goals. Serves as the technical focal point with other teams to resolve issues related to interfacing functionalities.5.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Brings continuous improvements/efficiencies to the software or business processes by utilizing software engineering tools and various innovative techniques, and reusing existing solutions.

By means of automation, reduces design complexity, reduces time to response, and simplifies the client/end-user experience.6.

Quality and SLAs - Contributes to meet various SLAs and KPIs as applicable for account and unit - for example, Responsiveness, Resolution, Software Quality SLAs.

Ensures assigned tasks are completed on time and delivery timelines are met as per quality targets of the organization.7.

Onboarding & Knowledge Sharing - Onboards new hires and trains them on processes, shares knowledge with team members, and takes an active role in technical mentoring within the team and elevating the knowledge of the team.8.

Communications - Represents discussions related to product/application/modules/team (for example, leads technical design reviews). Builds relationships with internal customers/stakeholders.
