Job Description:
This is a full-time role at our Mohali office. You will have your pattern making & garment construction room in our head office in India.

The ideal candidate possesses a sharp eye for detail, a love for fashion, and a solid grasp of garment construction. This position demands self-discipline and the ability to work and self-manage effectively.

You will have the opportunity to be independent and have daily one-on-one meetings with the Brand CEO who travels between our Mohali, Sydney, and London offices.


Key Responsibilities:
Translating CAD Designs to Patterns:
  • Create elaborate CAD designs and convert them into patterns.
  • Develop and manipulate digital textile patterns and prints.

Fashion Design:
Explore current fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques to spark new design ideas.Produce detailed sketches and technical drawings for garments using computer-aided software.
Garment Technology:
Ensure the technical viability of designs.Build a garment sample block library, ensuring they align with design requirements.Conduct fit sessions and make necessary adjustments to garment patterns.
Fabric and Material Selection:
Discover and choose suitable fabrics, trims, and embellishments.Experiment with different Indian regional fabrics and artisanal surface ornamentation techniques.Coordinate with fabric and trims suppliers to guarantee the prompt delivery of materials for garment construction. The Brand CEO will collaborate with you on negotiating bulk fabric and trim purchases versus small buys and offer material requirements forecasting.Ensure that quality control standards are maintained throughout the production process.
Trend Analysis and Market Research:
Stay informed about the latest fashion trends and market needs.Analyze supplier offerings and market trends to guide purchasing decisions and negotiations.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.Diploma holders with all the mentioned skills are eligible to apply.Proficiency in Textile CAD software (e.g., DigiBunai CATD, Adobe, NedGraphics, TexDesign, or similar).Sound knowledge of garment construction and production processes.Understanding of fitting, drape, proportion, and all sewing and garment construction is essential.Draping abilities are a must.Familiarity with 2-3 surface ornamentation techniques, such as hand embellishment embroideries, sequins, and other high-fashion embellishments.Excellent sketching and illustration skills.Create Flat sketches and clear tech pack instructions.A creative flair and a keen sense of style.Capability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.Strong communication and organizational skills.Attention to detail and a dedication to high-quality standards.Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.High levels of self-discipline and adaptability to remote work conditions.
