Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Manager with expertise in CMDB (Configuration Management Database) implementation and proficiency in ServiceNow. As a Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the CMDB within our organization, leveraging the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration data, enabling effective change management, asset tracking, and overall IT service management.

Responsibilities:

1.Configuration Management: Establish and maintain configuration management processes, standards, and policies to govern the identification, control, and tracking of configuration items (CIs) throughout their lifecycle.

2.Data Accuracy and Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of configuration data within the CMDB by conducting regular audits, reconciliations, and verifications.

3.Integration and Automation: Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate the CMDB with various systems and tools to automate data population, enhance data quality, and enable efficient change and incident management.

4.Change and Release Management: Support change and release management processes by providing accurate configuration information, assessing the impact of proposed changes, and ensuring proper documentation and communication of configuration-related changes.

5.Reporting and Analytics: Develop and generate reports, dashboards, and metrics from the CMDB to provide insights into the IT infrastructure, service dependencies, and compliance status.

6.Documentation and Knowledge Management: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to the CMDB, configuration management processes, and associated procedures. Promote knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization.

7.Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the CMDB and configuration management practices, recommending process improvements and implementing them in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

1.Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications in IT service management (e.g., ITIL) and ServiceNow are highly desirable.

2.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Configuration Manager, specifically with a focus on CMDB implementation and administration using the ServiceNow platform.

3.CMDB Expertise: Strong understanding of CMDB concepts, including CI identification, classification, relationships, and impact analysis. Experience with ServiceNow CMDB modules and their configuration.

4.ServiceNow Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including ServiceNow CMDB, ITSM, and related modules. Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Integration Hub is a plus.

5.ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL best practices, particularly in the areas of configuration management, change management, and asset management.

6.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex data sets, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights. Proficiency in data manipulation and reporting using SQL, Excel, or similar tools.

7.Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, facilitate discussions, and present ideas and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

8.Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve configuration-related issues, propose innovative solutions, and mitigate risks associated with configuration management.

9.Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data accuracy, documentation, and quality assurance. Ability to ensure compliance with configuration management standards and audit requirements.

10.Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Enthusiasm for keeping up with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to configuration management and IT service management
