As an Associate Manager in the Actuarial team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's operations and ensuring top-notch services are delivered to customers.



Job Description:
  • Collaborate closely with the UK Customer Directorate team to oversee off-shore Actuarial operations.
  • Provide necessary support to the Actuarial Manager for efficient management of offshore activities and adherence to UK instructions and controls.
  • Engage in manual actuarial calculations for UK Life insurance, meeting customer requirements within operational standards.
  • Ensure service delivery meets Quality and Timeliness standards.
  • Supervise team operations, performance, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Identify training needs, provide coaching, and address team issues.
  • Drive process improvements and ensure operational efficiency.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Develop models using GGY (Moody) AXIS or Mo.Net software.
  • Lead model migration and cash flow verification processes.
  • Conduct individual and block testing, and resolve model discrepancies.
  • Document modeling processes and present reports.
  • Coach junior team members and oversee various actuarial tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, resolve contractual issues, and work on projects like Bonus and Fund mergers.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to regulatory requirements and data security protocols.


Person Specification:
Education/Qualifications/Training:
  • Graduation in Actuarial Science.
  • Completion of Actuarial exams from IAI/IFOA/SOA.
  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Finance.


Specific Job Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of Life insurance technical aspects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in workforce planning and Actuarial procedures.


Experience:
  • Programming experience, particularly in VB or VBA.
  • Familiarity with SQL and Actuarial Analysis in the Life insurance sector.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in modeling Life insurance products using GGY AXIS/Mo Net or similar software.
