Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for QA
Position Type: Full Time
Location: Hyderabad
As a Senior Software Engineer you will:
Responsibilities:
· Design and execute test plans to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions built on GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, DataProc, Pub/Sub, Storage).
· Collaborate with data engineers to understand data pipelines, data models, and infrastructure configurations.
· Develop and execute comprehensive test cases covering various aspects, including:
o Data Integrity: Accuracy, completeness, consistency, and validity of data across the pipeline.
o Functionality: Correct execution of data transformations, loading, and error handling.
o Security: Access control, data encryption, and compliance with security standards.
o Performance: Efficiency and scalability of data pipelines under various loads.
· Utilize automated testing tools and frameworks Selenium, Pytest) to efficiently test APIs, user interfaces, and data pipelines.
· Analyze test results, identify defects, document them clearly, and report them to data engineers for resolution.
· Participate in code reviews to identify potential quality and security issues, focusing on data manipulation and transformation logic.
· Work with infrastructure engineers to test and validate the provisioning, configuration, and security of GCP resources used for data pipelines and storage.
· Participate in migration projects by testing the entire migration process, focusing on data consistency and integrity throughout using tools like Debezium and GoldenGate).
· Document test cases, procedures, and results for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Skills:
· Minimum 6+ years of experience in software testing, preferably with experience in testing data-driven applications or data pipelines.
· Strong understanding of data engineering principles including data pipelines, ETL, data warehousing concepts, and data quality principles.
· Solid experience with GCP data and analytics services (BigQuery, Dataflow, DataProc, Pub/Sub) and familiarity with related infrastructure components Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions).
· Expert in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
· Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python (essential), Bash, or PowerShell.
· Experience with automated testing tools and Selenium, Pytest, JUnit) is highly preferred.
· Understanding of data security best data encryption, access control) is essential.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate test results and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or equivalent software testing certification.
· Experience with cloud platforms like GCP and their testing methodologies.
· Experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
