SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER:

About:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with software developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to understand the company's needs and contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and automated solutions.


Infrastructure automation:

Develop and maintain a robust infrastructure automation framework using modern technologies (such as Terraform, Ansible) to ensure efficient and repeatable deployment processes across various environments.


  • Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD): Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects, enabling rapid integration, testing, and deployment of software releases.

Monitoring and alerting:
Set up and maintain monitoring tools to proactively identify system issues, bottlenecks, and performance-related problems. Configure alerting mechanisms to promptly notify the team in case of any critical issues.

Deployments and release management:

Manage the deployment and release lifecycle of applications, ensuring coordination between teams, adhering to best practices, and minimizing downtime during production deployment.


Security and compliance:
Contribute to maintaining strong security practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Implement security measures to protect infrastructure and systems from potential threats.

Troubleshooting and incident response:
Investigate and respond to production issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing necessary fixes and improvements.

Documentation and knowledge sharing:
Create and maintain thorough documentation related to infrastructure, processes, and deployment procedures. Share knowledge and mentor other team members.

Requirements:

Education and experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role, preferably in a cloud-based or e-commerce environment.


Technical skills:

  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
  • Experience in infrastructureascode tools like Terraform, configuration management tools such as Ansible, and version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) and orchestration tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, security practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions within time constraints.

Strong communication:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members and stakeholders.
