JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receiving OT List
  • OT booking / managing booking sessions online
  • Keeping a record of modifications done to the OT schedule, if any
  • Ensuring office clearance (deposits, etc. made by the patient)
  • Monitor list
  • Answer all calls related to OT and direct enquiries to the relevant staff or matron
  • Optimizing OT time
  • Instrumentation booking (E.g. scopy)
  • Maintenance of cancellation list why cases are getting cancelled
  • Supervising dispatch of the specimens
  • Receiving blood products or medications and deporting it to the concerned person
  • Should be trained in all OT entries
  • Maintaining data regarding the maintenance activities done in OT (Fumigation, etc)
  • Sourcing the other emergency investigation services (X-Ray, ECG machines along with the technician)
  • Speaking to consultants and residents to ensure that OT starts on time
  • Discussing nursing issues in OT with the OT Matron
  • Working together with OT Matron to ensure smooth running of the theatre
  • Monthly MIS reports regarding OT utilization and equipment usage
  • Preparing reports of NABH indicators for OT and COT
  • Dealing with all correspondence related to OT
  • Discussion with OT Matron and Medical Administrator on improving working within and transfer of patient to and from wards / rooms
  • Bringing any disciplinary issues regarding residents with the HOD / Director and regarding nurses with OT Matron
  • Ensuring that there is no overbooking of OTs or vacant slots are filled by rearranging surgeries in discussion with relevant consultants
  • Any other work/responsibility assigned by the HOD/Management in the course of business/work whether within the same unit/dept or any other unit/dept from time to time
