What you'll do:


The Analytic Consulting Group partners with both internal and external clients, and data providers, leveraging predictive analytics and advanced statistical techniques to drive strategic thought and effective decision making.

The Senior Statistician is responsible for applying and interpreting various statistical and data analysis techniques in support of a variety of analytic solutions.


Roles & Responsibilities:


Provide quality, statistically valid analysis and related outputCollaborate with cross-functional internal resourcesMaster the desktop and UNIX/WINDOWS toolset (SAS, SAS ODS, R, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to create content for evaluating statistical analyses such as tables, reports, graphs, etc.

Access and extract data from a variety of sources of all sizes (including client marketing databases) via SAS Access, SQL, etc.

Manipulate raw data into analysis-ready datasets using SAS/SQLProficiently apply and interpret various analytic techniquesProvide proficient problem solving and data analysis, derived from modeling and statistical experience.

Document and articulate steps taken in an analysis to project managersAnswer questions about data sets and analysesTake a proactive, independent role in analysis design, project planning and executionQC data and results produced by data analyst, statistician, other project team membersPresent statistical results to both technical and non-technical audience in a clear mannerMaster all the group's policies and procedures for programming, project documentation, and system management


QualificationsBecome proficient withThe primary analyses delivered by ACG (found in the Insider's Guide)Epsilon data assetsthe SAS macro libraryEffectively manage time and resources in order to deliver on time / correctly on several (2-3) concurrent projectsAct as a statistical or modeling mentor to StatisticiansPerform two tasks related to the role of Manager, Statistics during the year.

What you'll needBachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Marketing Analytics) or significant relevant courseworkMinimum of 8 years of related experienceProficient with toolsets (SAS, SAS ODS, SAS Access, SQL, Unix, MS Office) and large datasets, in addition to SAS/SQLKnowledge of R and Python is desirableStrong in verbal and written communicationCollaborate with internal/external stakeholders to manage data logistics – including data specifications, transfers, structures, and rulesProvide proficient problem solving and data analysis, derived from programming and marketing/business experienceProvide quality (QA/QC) analysis and related outputDisplay knowledge of...Various statistical offerings and methods (CHAID, logistic/multiple regression, cluster analysis, factor analysis)The SAS macro libraryTake a proactive, independent role in project design, planning & executionEffectively manage time and resources in order to deliver on time / correctly on multiple (5+) concurrent projectsServe as project manager on analyses of significant scope, complexity / delegate tasks without requiring manager's approval / act as mentor to junior analystsPrepare basic report content (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) including writing covering methodology and findingsParticipate in presentation of results to key internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating the key findings and recommendationsResponsible for providing technical supervision, coaching, mentoring for 4-5 Sr.

Data Analyst/ Data AnalystsDemonstrated proficiency in SAS/SQL programmingFamiliarity and basic knowledge of open source statistical programs like R, Python and KNimeStrong analytic thought process and ability to interpret findingsAcute attention to detail (QA/QC)Proficiency in MS Office; including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.

Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly motivated and collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skillsEffective organization and time management skillsDesirable Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in Statistics, Economics or other quantitative disciplineDatabase marketing experience/knowledge
