Responsibilities:

How Will You Contribute to the Company?
***The Agile Team Coach is responsible for supporting Agile Teams across Cradlepoint R&D. This position will help teams adopt, maintain and grow their Agile values, principles and best practices and will work across multiple teams to ensure consistency of approaches while encouraging teams to continually improve through the use of retrospectives. This position will participate as a collaborative partner and coach, participating in real-time feedback to provide advice or assistance to teams and team members as they tackle and overcome difficult challenges.


The Agile Team Coach will be actively engaged with programs/projects that are transforming from a traditional software delivery model to an agile delivery model, or a program/project that is looking to mature in their agile adoption.

Projects range from custom software development to packaged software integrations/implementations. The scope of transformation is primarily for teams within a business segment.


The Agile Team Coach will collaborate with Delivery Leaders, Product Owners, Engineering Leads and Product Line Managers in Scrum and other Agile techniques such as Kanban and provide ongoing agile training and mentoring on organizational best practices.

This position will report to Head of Agile Coaching at Cradlepoint, USA.

What Will You Do?

  • Facilitate teams Agile adoption, providing feedback and opportunities for improvement, catalyzing organizational growth, and answering questions. Challenge teams to think differently and improve regularly
  • Build trust, credibility, and partnerships with multiple teams to advance Agile skills and improve valuedriven results for Cradlepoint. Be both a change agent and a servant leader toward helping teams achieve their agility goals
  • Provide handson Agile coaching to development teams as well as product owners, delivery leaders, and engineering managers. This includes understanding challenges and providing techniques for working with globally distributed teams
  • Educate product owners on writing stories and refining a team backlog. Help teams develop a solid iteration plan. Assist in scrum meetings especially Backlog grooming, retrospectives, and best practices around them
  • Perform assessments of teams' states of Agile maturity and help set them on a continuous improvement path
  • Promote team selforganization attitudes and skills, including technical skills that will empower team members

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Eight (8) years of IT and business/industry work experience
  • Five (5) years of handson experience with various software development methodologies and processes
  • Awareness & understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Lean, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Systems thinker with superior problemsolving skills
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Experience working with ambiguity and a fastpaced and changing environment
  • Experience in creating Agile training/workshop material
  • Exceptional teaching, coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, for audiences at all levels in the company
  • Experience training other employees on new tools and processes
  • Deep knowledge & experience in using Atlassian products like JIRA and Confluence

Bonus Points:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline, or an MBA
  • Certified Agile Coach or practitioner
  • CSM, CSPO, or other Agile certifications
  • Experience with independently transitioning software teams to a variation of Agile processes, as well as prior experience coaching and mentoring software teams on Agile transitions
